GRANT PROCESS

INVESTMENT PROCESS
The Progress Alliance reviews investment proposals on an invitation-only basis from organizations that meet our criteria. We make one-year, or multi-year investments.

Our criteria for investment include that they:

  • Fit one or more of our identified areas of priority, and
  • Are “game changing” or transformative, and
  • Have a focal impact on Washington State.
We do not invest in single-issue organizations or campaigns, but instead focus on efforts that increase effectiveness across issue areas.

INVESTMENT MODEL
The Progress Alliance plays a “lead investor” role in each of our investments. We perform careful due diligence on the investment and the organization(s) involved, and recruit other progressive investors to expand financing and expertise, and therefore create more stakeholders.
